Meet the Team

Hi, I'm Kirsty, the Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead here at Rainbows Nursery.

I began my career working with children in early years as a qualified teacher in 1995, until starting a family of my own. Whilst my children were young, I ran pre-school art and craft sessions for other pre-school children. I enjoyed this experience so much; early years education became set as my driving passion for my work with children. I am convinced every child should have the best opportunity to develop and grow and explore their world safely in their formative years.

I had the exciting privilege of taking over Rainbows in 2010. I set out with my vision firm: to create a nursery that wasn't in any way shape or form corporate! I wanted children to be excited about coming to their nursery. Whilst structure and routine are necessary for the safety and development of all, my main desire was for children to attend their nursery as though they were entering a home from home. To achieve this a staff team exceptionally skilled and yet warm, inviting and fun is paramount. I believe we have achieved this at Rainbows.

Hi, I'm Debbie, Deputy Manager and Deputy Safeguarding Lead here at Rainbows.
After returning from a teaching exchange in Vienna, I qualified as a primary school teacher with a BEd Hons.
I started my first role in primary education and worked my way up to Assistant Head before leaving the profession to have two gorgeous children. After being at home for eight years, loving family time, I returned to education, firstly as a volunteer, then as a teaching assistant with a little bit of teaching before I excitedly took on my role at Rainbows Nursery. My passion has always been working with reception children so this next step seemed like a wonderful opportunity. I now work for a great team with wonderful children and I love my job!

Hi. I'm Hannah. I have always loved working with children and have worked at a number of play schemes during my time at university before going on to work as an Environmental and Health and Safety Manager in the water industry. I left this when I had my young family and decided to follow my passion of working with children in the environment and went onto train as a Forest School Practitioner, working as an independent with several nurseries including Rainbows. When the opportunity came up to work with the brilliant team at Rainbows and undertake my level 3 in childcare, I jumped at the chance! Working with early years children is absolutely the best job and I count myself very lucky to work with the brilliant team and children at Rainbows.

Hi, I'm Annie and I am studying my Level 2 Apprenticeship in Early Years at Rainbows. I have always loved being in the company of young children and wanted to explore this further when I left school. Outside of Rainbows, my hobbies include dancing, walking, music and fashion. Having studied dance for 10 years I am looking forward to bringing this into the nursery! As soon as I joined Rainbows, I immediately felt welcome and love being a part of the Rainbows Team.

Hello, my name is Katie. I am a primary school teacher and have 18 years of experience of teaching from nursery age to year 6. I have three teenage daughters who all went to Rainbows as little ones, and now I'm thrilled to be working there every Thursday.
I can honestly say that Rainbows is the most wonderfully welcoming and positive place to work.
It is a real privilege to teach your children- thank you.

Hi, I'm Annie and I did my level 2 and 3 apprenticeships in Early Years at Rainbows. I am now fully qualified in both.

Hi, I’m Rosie. My passion was always to work within the Early Years. This led to me achieving a first class degree in Early Childhood Studies with Education Studies in 2006 and in 2007 Early Years Teacher Status. I started my first role as a room leader and worked my way up to Deputy Nursery Manager before leaving to have my daughter in 2018. I started working at Rainbows in 2022 and I've loved working as part of a passionate Early Years team to deliver the best care and education.

Hi, my name's Wendy. I have successfully completed my Level 3 Early Years apprenticeship after being given the opportunity by Rainbows to try something new - and I'm so glad I did.

My previous work experience has been mainly in sales management for over 15 years before I had my daughter in 2019. This career change has been an incredibly rewarding journey and has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally as part of a fantastic team.
Seeing first-hand the positive impact that Rainbows Nursery has on the children, mine included when she attended. The passion shown by the team every day has reinforced how proud I am to be part of such a supportive and caring environment.

Hi, I'm Sophie. I started my studies in Animal care and became qualified then decided that I'd like to work with children
